Blue Hill Partners is a private equity firm focused exclusively in the Green Technology sector. Our goal is to attract capital and management to the sector and to facilitate the growth of promising companies and technologies.

We are investors who manage private equity investment funds:

• Blue Hill manages the Pennsylvania Advanced Industrial Technology Fund, a fund that is fully invested in companies with energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies and services.
• Blue Hill is currently raising its next fund, Blue Hill Investment Partners. This fund achieved a first close in late 2006 and has already made two investments. Blue Hill is still fundraising and the fund will target early stage equity and mezzanine debt investments in the range of $500,000 - $3,000,000.

We are company builders focused on creating value and generating returns for our investors and shareholders.

• We have a management team with extensive experience as senior executives building companies in the GreenTech sector.
• We provide management support to companies needing supplemental or interim resources to efficiently build their companies.
• We invest directly in founding new companies and building the management teams required to grow them.

Our approach is a return to the traditional form of private equity investing, when funds were small and the fund managers were well versed in their industries, intimately involved with their portfolio companies and personally invested in their funds.

• We manage small funds and keep the ratio of investment professionals to portfolio companies low so we can dedicate the time and resources necessary to stay actively involved with each company.
• We invest only in companies where we have specific expertise and can add value.
• We sometimes make “managerial investments” in our companies, investing our team’s management resources in exchange for equity.
• We structure our activities around building value in our companies. We focus not only on the up-front investment transaction, but also on enhancing the operations of the company.
• We concentrate in areas within the GreenTech sector and build investment 'clusters'. To date, Blue Hill has built a cluster around energy efficiency technologies for application in commercial and industrial buildings and facilities.
